While some people live for the mountains and others prefer to spend time in the country, there are those amongst us who enjoy spending time at the beach. It may be because the beach has sand, sun and surf or it may be because the atmosphere at the beach is more laid back than in other locations. If you fall into the category that loves spending time on the beach, we have a list of the world’s best beach bars.

  • Soggy Dollar Bar – This particular bar is located in Jost Van Dyke, BVI makes getting a drink a little more difficult than your typical bar. In order to reach the bar, visitors must swim to the shore. Once you have reached your destination, not only are you a little wet, but more than likely you’re a little thirsty as well. You can either simply order your drink, or take a chance and play the ring game. If you’re successful, you’ll score a free drink; but keep in mind, the longer you’re at the bar, the harder the game gets.
  • Clayton’s Beach Bar – This beach bar can be found on South Padre Island, Texas. This bar claims to be the “Biggest Beach Bar in Texas” which is not hard to believe with a seating capacity of 5,000 people. This particular bar is a favorite among those enjoying their spring break or anyone looking to enjoy some of the shows put on by some of the most popular musicians. If you’re looking for a party atmosphere, this is definitely the bar for you.
  • Iggies Beach Bar – In order to buy a drink at this bar you’re going to have to visit St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Iggies Beach Bar is located in the Bolongo Bay Beach Resort and claims to be the first karaoke bar in the Caribbean. If you enjoy listening to live music, this is the ideal bar for you. Each night of the year features a live band. There are also other events throughout the week that will guarantee you have a good time.
